E.ON and Pražská plynárenská raise prices on new electricity and gas contracts

E.ON and Pražská plynárenská announced higher charges for newly fixed electricity and gas products, with electricity prices climbing by roughly two hundred crowns per MWh for two- to three-year contracts and gas tariffs rising between sixty and 163 crowns per MWh. The adjustments mirror a sharp increase in wholesale energy costs linked to the Middle-East crisis. Company representatives emphasized that the revisions apply solely to new sign-ups, leaving the rates of existing customers unchanged.

Pražská plynárenská also reported a rise of about six hundred crowns per MWh for its most common one-year electricity tariff and modest increases for gas contracts of various lengths. The firms noted that, despite the hikes, the new offers remain competitively priced in the market.
