Ecumenical Relief Agency Opens New Office in Kharkiv to Aid Frontline Communities

The Ecumenical Relief Agency announced the opening of a new office in Kharkiv, aiming to support residents of regions near the front line.

According to a statement, the agency's Kharkiv office will serve people living in areas close to the conflict front. Registered internally displaced persons now make up more than one-sixth of the city's population, helping the town regain its pre-war numbers. The office will also link smaller partner groups with the ecumenical hub in Berehove.

Why it matters

The new office expands humanitarian reach to vulnerable populations near Ukraine's active conflict zones.
