Eddie Hearn says Dana White will not co-promote Fury-Joshua heavyweight bout in Cardiff

After extensive talks headed by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh, the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua was relocated from New York to Cardiff and scheduled for 11 December. Netflix released a statement saying the fight would be promoted jointly by Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC president Dana White. Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn contradicted the announcement, insisting he received direct confirmation from Alalshikh and his associate Sela that White will not take part in the promotion.

Both fighters are expected to meet at a press conference on 30 September at the British Airways Arc in London. The event will be streamed globally on Netflix at no extra cost, with a star-studded undercard to be announced later. Organisers tout the bout as one of the biggest heavyweight contests in boxing history.
