Edouard Philippe urges right-center unity, proposes meeting with Retailleau and Attal

During a visit to Moselle, Edouard Philippe, the Horizons presidential hopeful, appealed for a broad right-center coalition ahead of the 2027 election and floated the idea of a meeting with Bruno Retailleau and Gabriel Attal around the Toussaint holiday. He emphasized that his campaign began long ago and warned against rushing into rivalry. Philippe highlighted that when the right and centre present a united front, they tend to win.

At the same time, Bruno Retailleau urged LR youth to become the "front line of reconstruction," while Fabien Roussel dismissed any notion of withdrawing from the race. Other political figures, including Marine Le Pen, Jordan Bardella, and Eric Zemmour, are slated for separate events later in the week, underscoring a packed political calendar.
