Egyptian President El-Sisi to Make Official Visit to Malaysia Next Month

During the closing day of the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim posted that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is slated to visit Malaysia next month for an official state trip. The visit is expected to deepen cooperation under the strategic partnership the two countries agreed to pursue in 2024. Anwar’s social-media message did not disclose specific agenda items.
The leaders had previously met on the sidelines of a gala dinner linked to the BRICS summit. Following the summit, Anwar will travel to Keralam, a state on India’s Malabar Coast, before heading to the Maldives on September 14.
