Eight arrested and two stabbed during violent night in Ceuta’s Chorrillo and Tarajal

Police said eight people were detained and two others injured with knives during a night of clashes in Ceuta.

National police announced the detention of eight individuals - six from Ceuta and two migrants - for alleged involvement in a series of violent robberies and assaults that unfolded across the city. The hardest-hit location was the promenade of Chorrillo beach, where three migrants were confronted by four locals and a Moroccan, resulting in two knife injuries; one victim is still receiving hospital treatment while another sustained a minor hand wound.

Police also intervened in the Tarajal industrial complex, where three suspects were apprehended after a confrontation that left a 17-year-old boy threatened with pepper spray and a compressed-air pistol. In total, the night saw multiple clashes between residents and migrants, prompting a heightened police response throughout Ceuta.
