Elderly Delhi tailor and associate arrested for killing schizophrenic son

Authorities reported that Talukdar Ansari, a 64-year-old tailor, grew frustrated with his 38-year-old son Gul Hasan's aggressive behavior linked to schizophrenia and his inability to obtain proper care. He conspired with Mohammad Wasim alias Akram, also a tailor, to murder Hasan. On August 23, police were alerted to a body found inside an abandoned container near the NTPC wall in Kalindi Kunj, southeast Delhi.

CCTV footage linked the victim to Ansari and Wasim, who were later located at a stitching factory in Govindpuri and taken into custody by a team led by ACP Anil Sharma. Investigators say Wasim hit Hasan with a concrete stone, after which Ansari assaulted and finally strangled him with a rope made from cloth waste, abandoning an earlier plan to push him into the Yamuna River. The concrete stone, rope, and blood-stained clothing were recovered as evidence.
