Electro-Alfa International joins Bucharest Stock Exchange’s BET index after strong debut
Electro-Alfa International’s shares, listed on the BVB Regulated Market on March 3 2026, have been added to the BET index and its related variants following a sharp rise in price.
Electro-Alfa International, a leading Romanian producer of electrical equipment and EPC services, debuted on the BVB Regulated Market on March 3 2026 after raising RON 579 million through an IPO. The stock has surged more than 87%, reaching RON 16.6 per share and pushing the company’s market capitalisation to roughly RON 3.1 billion by mid-September. In recognition of this performance, the firm will be incorporated into the BET index together with its gross and net total-return versions, as well as the BET-XT, BET-XT-TR, BET-XT-TRN, BET-BK and BET Plus indices.
CEO Ștefan Petrea highlighted that the listing and subsequent investor interest demonstrate confidence in the company’s business fundamentals and its ability to meet IPO objectives. The BET index itself posted a 33% gain in the first half of 2026 and surpassed the 35,000-point mark in July.
Why it matters
Inclusion in the BET index raises the company’s visibility and may attract more investors to Romania’s growing electrical-equipment sector.
