Eli Tomac to End Racing Career After 2026 SuperMotocross Championship

Eli Tomac, a two-time AMA Supercross 450SX champion and four-time AMA Pro Motocross 450MX champion, confirmed he will step away from professional racing after the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship concludes. The 33-year-old from Cortez, Colorado, has amassed 57 Supercross main-event wins, placing him second all-time, and 32 Motocross victories, ranking fourth historically. This season he secured four 450SX main-event wins for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and added an eighth Daytona Supercross victory to his record.

Tomac also represented Team USA at the FIM Motocross of Nations six times, captaining the squad to a win in 2022. He expressed that the decision was difficult but feels the timing is right, while team manager Ian Harrison praised his work ethic and legacy. The team will finish the season together, aiming for a strong showing at the SMX World Championship Final in Ridgedale, Missouri on September 26.
