Emirates Begins Daily Dubai-Helsinki Service as Network Capacity Nears Pre-Disruption Levels
Emirates launched a daily year-round flight between Dubai and Helsinki, bringing its operational capacity to about 93% of pre-disruption levels.
Emirates touched down in Helsinki for the first time on 2 October, establishing a daily, year-round connection between the Finnish capital and Dubai with an A350-based EK167/168 service. The airline says its overall network is now operating at about 93% of the capacity it enjoyed before the recent Middle-East turbulence, and it recorded over 8.6 million passengers in July and August. Summer demand exceeded expectations, and winter bookings are tracking positively as the season approaches.
Emirates will add second daily flights to Accra, Tokyo Narita, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and will introduce A350 service to Larnaca, Malta, Nairobi, Hamburg and Mauritius in the coming months. On 1 November the A350 will replace the Boeing 777 on the Orlando route. The new Helsinki link joins Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm in Emirates’ Nordic network, offering travelers a direct gateway to Finland and onward travel to Lapland and other winter destinations.
Why it matters
The new daily Dubai-Helsinki flight expands Emirates’ network and signals recovery of demand after recent regional disruptions.
