EnduroSat hits over $1 billion valuation, becoming Bulgaria's second unicorn
Bulgarian satellite maker EnduroSat has been valued at more than $1 billion after a new funding round, making it the country's second tech unicorn.
EnduroSat, a Sofia-based space technology firm, has reached a valuation surpassing $1 billion, according to marketing director Boris Dimitrov, who said the figure significantly exceeds that threshold. The valuation follows a recent financing round led by U.S. venture firms Riot Ventures and Atreides Management. With the new capital, EnduroSat intends to scale up satellite manufacturing, establish a production facility in the United States, and create a space and defence hub close to Sofia.
Future satellite designs will target masses between 500 kg and five tonnes, expanding beyond one outlet 300 kg payload capacity. Since its founding in 2015, the company has launched 103 satellites and delivered over 200 devices, and it reported preliminary revenue of €34-35 million in 2025, a rise of more than 55 percent year-on-year.
Why it matters
The milestone signals Bulgaria's growing presence in high-tech and space industries, attracting global investment.
