Enes Unal returns to Getafe as Bournemouth cut ties
Striker Enes Unal has left Bournemouth on a free transfer to rejoin Getafe, with the English club able to earn bonuses and a future sale percentage.
Bournemouth striker Enes Unal announced his exit from the club, completing a free transfer to former loan club Getafe in Spain's top division. The deal includes potential bonuses of up to £1.3m for Bournemouth and a clause granting the club 20% of any future sale proceeds. Over the past three seasons, Unal managed roughly 900 minutes on the pitch, scoring five goals in 58 appearances, a record affected by recurring injuries and the club's desire to lower its wage bill.
In a heartfelt Instagram message, he expressed gratitude to the Bournemouth community and affirmed he always gave his maximum effort. The forward's departure creates space for young attacker Daniel Jebbison, who impressed new boss Marco Rose during pre-season, to claim a regular first-team role.
Why it matters
The move reshapes Bournemouth's squad and gives a young striker a chance to step up.
