England to contest ODI tri-series with Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Pakistan
England will compete in a one-day international tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Lahore and Rawalpindi during October.
England’s cricket programme includes an ODI tri-series hosted in Pakistan, featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka as co-hosts. Each nation will meet the others twice, and the two teams with the best records will contest the final on 31 October at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. England opens the series against Pakistan on 20 October in Rawalpindi, then faces Sri Lanka two days later, before returning to Lahore for further matches on 25 and 29 October.
The tournament follows England’s winter break and precedes a November tour of Australia and a busy spring schedule in South Africa, Bangladesh and Australia. This marks England’s first ODI tri-series since the 2015 pre-World Cup event in Australia. The full fixture list runs from 18 October through 31 October, with all games split between Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium.
Why it matters
The series shapes England’s preparation for upcoming tours and offers competitive exposure for all three nations.
