Epic Studios and Rusk Media team up for 50 new vertical drama series
Epic Studios has struck a deal with Rusk Media Private Limited to create 50 original vertical-drama series for the Alright! TV platform.
Epic Studios announced a collaboration with Rusk Media Private Limited to produce 50 original vertical-drama series that will debut on Alright! TV, the streaming service dedicated to this format. The lineup will cover genres such as mythology, drama, mystery, thriller and romance, with the goal of building the country’s biggest owned vertical-drama IP library.
Managing director Aditya Pittie highlighted the rapid growth of vertical dramas and described the venture as a step toward scaling the catalog to more than 250 titles by the middle of next year. Rusk Media co-founder Karanvir Sofat framed the deal as a continuation of Alright! TV’s strategy to serve younger Indian viewers with high-quality, fast-paced content. The agreement leverages Epic Studios’ background in television, streaming and film alongside Rusk Media’s mobile-first distribution network, which also reaches audiences via Amazon, MX Player and JioHotstar.
Why it matters
The deal expands India's digital-first content ecosystem and could reshape how younger viewers consume serialized drama.
