ER doctors warn claw hair clips can become dangerous in car crashes

Doctors and nurses on a popular social platform cautioned that the trendy claw hair clip can turn hazardous in traffic accidents, potentially embedding in the scalp and causing lacerations that need surgical removal. Reported cases include a 19-year-old British college student who suffered skull, facial and eye injuries when her clip pierced her head, and a 22-year-old Australian fashion influencer who endured a severe concussion from a similar incident. The medical community urges people, especially children, to avoid wearing claw clips while in a vehicle.
