ERL announces RM10 fare rise for KLIA Express and Transit services

Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd, which runs the KLIA Express and KLIA Transit linking KL Sentral with Kuala Lumpur International Airport terminals, announced a RM10 increase in fares, setting the KLIA Express price at RM55. This is the first adjustment since 2016 and is driven by rising operational and maintenance expenses and the requirements of its concession agreement with the government. CEO Noormah Mohd Noor explained that the hike will support the long-term sustainability of the service and enable investments in upgrades to enhance passenger experience.

In addition, ERL is negotiating with partners to offer exclusive ticket discounts of up to 30% beginning in January of next year, though the specifics will be disclosed after finalisation. The company reaffirmed its commitment to providing fast, reliable connections between the city centre and the airport.
