Espoo municipality to end or alter employment contracts for 80 workers
The city of Espoo announced that 80 employees will have their contracts terminated or changed, including possible layoffs, transfers or part-time arrangements.
Espoo's latest personnel notice says 80 staff members face contract termination, reassignment to different duties or a shift to part-time work. The move follows earlier reports that around 130 workers could be affected by dismissals or major changes to employment terms. The city also plans to eliminate 60 positions by 2029 as retirements, expiring temporary contracts and the removal of open posts take effect.
