EU Commission vows stronger action to rebalance trade with China
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU is in talks with China to correct an unfavourable trade balance and will use all tools available.
In a State of the Union address in Strasbourg, Ursula von der Leyen announced that the European Union is actively engaging China in dialogue aimed at narrowing the trade gap. She emphasized that the bloc is prepared to deploy any necessary measures to achieve a more balanced exchange. The statement reflects growing concern in Brussels over the persistent surplus China holds in EU markets.
