He called for the partnership’s political promises to be converted into concrete actions throughout India and the EU. Paquet said his embassy teams will work with officials in Delhi and across all Indian states to make this a reality.
He also shared his personal aim to explore the diverse nation, citing recent trips to Amritsar and Jaisalmer and a goal to visit every state and Union Territory. The ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan also saw the accreditation of Belgium’s ambassador, Sophie Karlshausen. Paquet emphasized that the next phase of the relationship hinges on delivering measurable outcomes.
