EU foreign chief decries oligarch delisting and calls German-Russian talks a farce

Speaking at a defence ministers' gathering in Brussels, Kaja Kallas criticised the EU's decision to delist two Russian oligarchs, calling it a step backwards amid ongoing sabotage attacks in Europe. She said the bloc will propose additional sanctions targeting Russia's defence industry and financial networks ahead of the 22nd sanctions round. Lithuania's defence minister Robertas Kaunas echoed the sentiment, urging stronger pressure on Russia and President Vladimir Putin's circle. Kallas also dismissed the recent German-Russian dialogue at the United Nations as "ridicule".
