Evidence of rifle cartridges and bloodstains presented in north Queensland triple murder trial

Photographs showing ammunition packets, a blood-spattered Land Cruiser seat and shell casings near two bodies have been entered as evidence in a triple homicide case in north Queensland.

During the ongoing trial for a triple murder in north Queensland, prosecutors displayed images of rifle cartridge packets, a blood-covered driver’s seat in a Land Cruiser and shell casings surrounding two victims. The defendant, 63-year-old Darryl Valroy Young, faces three murder charges and one count of attempted murder, and has entered a not-guilty plea on all counts. Testimony also revealed that Young’s stepmother, who spent several hours with him after the alleged shooting, refused to provide a statement to police.
