Ex-husband of accused mother builds new life in New York amid murder trial
During Lindsay Clancy's murder trial, her former husband Patrick Clancy has remarried and relocated to New York, while the case focuses on her alleged postpartum psychosis defense.
Lindsay Clancy, 36, is on trial for three first-degree murder charges relating to the strangling deaths of her children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, in January 2023. The prosecution wrapped up its presentation on Monday, and her lawyer is now asserting that postpartum psychosis drove the killings. Patrick Clancy, who testified in the trial, had already divorced Lindsay, moved from Duxbury, Massachusetts to New York City in spring 2023, and remarried Dr. Rachel Danis in a Central Park ceremony in spring 2026.
He lives in an Upper East Side apartment and, together with family members, founded the Heard Foundation to support parents facing perinatal mental illness. Earlier, he posted a forgiveness plea on a GoFundMe page after the tragedy. Additional courtroom testimony included a chaplain from Brigham and Women's Hospital who spoke with Lindsay days after the murders. The judge sent jurors home pending further testimony.
