Ex-security aide alleges he handed over over P2 billion in cash to Sara Duterte

Police Corporal Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., who says he served as Lord Allan Velasco’s chief of security beginning in 2018, alleged that he transported multiple suitcases of cash to senior members of the Duterte family. He estimates the total amount exceeded P2 billion and that he made over 20 deliveries, each containing between P20 million and P50 million. The cash was reportedly given to Vice President Sara Duterte, former President Rodrigo Duterte, and Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte at various sites in Metro Manila, Davao and elsewhere.

Gracioso’s statements were recorded in a sworn affidavit that the National Bureau of Investigation provided to the news outlet. He said the deliveries were carried out on Velasco’s orders during his time as a congressman and later as speaker from 2020 to 2022. No response from the accused officials has been reported.
