Exotic Food earns Thailand's first ISO carbon management certification
Exotic Food, the exporter of Flying Goose Sriracha, became the first Thai food company to receive ISO 14068-1:2023 carbon certification.
Exotic Food, known for the Flying Goose Sriracha brand, secured the ISO 14068-1:2023 carbon management certification, the first such award for a Thai food producer. The Management System Certification Institute granted the certification after the company audited its greenhouse-gas baseline, improved emissions reporting tools and provided environmental-reporting training. CEO Vasana Jantarach highlighted the importance of meeting European sustainability expectations and using a globally recognised framework to track reductions.
The firm has already installed solar panels at its Amata City Rayong facility and intends to add more solar capacity at its raw-materials site in Phitsanulok, while also pursuing energy-efficiency upgrades and electric freight options. The certification aligns with Exotic Food’s broader ESG strategy aimed at carbon neutrality by 2040 and net-zero by 2050.
Why it matters
It shows Thai food exporters are adopting internationally recognised carbon standards, influencing global supply-chain sustainability.
