Explosion in Argenteuil apartment building injures five, cause still unknown

Early Saturday morning, a loud explosion whose cause has not been identified detonated in a first-floor apartment on rue Yves-Farge in Argenteuil’s Joliot-Curie neighbourhood. About 60 firefighters and thirty emergency vehicles were deployed to control the fire and safeguard adjacent units. Five residents were reported injured, and some occupants were trapped before being rescued. The investigation into the blast’s source is ongoing.
