Faith Lutheran rallies for a 35-31 comeback win amid busy high-school football roundup

In Friday’s Friday night action, Faith Lutheran rallied from behind to defeat Damien (California) 35-31, thanks to a fourth-quarter touchdown connection between Jacob Dushoff and Mello Carter, while Don Aguilar and Malakai Boykin each surpassed 100 rushing yards and Trey Fox sealed the win with an interception. Moapa Valley surged to a 63-19 victory over Silverado, highlighted by Kamden Drosos’s 163 passing yards and three touchdowns, plus a 56-yard kick-return score by Miles Wheeler.

Laguna Beach earned its first win of the season, beating Shadow Ridge 21-7, and Corona del Sol remained unbeaten with a 50-0 demolition of Mojave. Other notable results featured Sierra Vista’s 49-0 shutout of Cimarron-Memorial, Clark’s 41-0 triumph over Boulder City, and Sloan Canyon’s 49-7 win over Losee, propelled by Cade Hoshino’s five touchdown passes. A game between Eldorado and Cheyenne was called off after a bench-clearing altercation, prompting a review by the NIAA.
