Falling trees damage electrified line, halting Cheb-Plzeň train service

A number of trees toppled onto the electrified railway line between Cheb and Plzeň, causing immediate suspension of all train traffic on the route. Správa železnic crews are working to remove the debris and restore the traction infrastructure. České dráhy announced that both intercity and regional services are cancelled until repairs are completed. In response, the railway company has organized alternative bus transportation for commuters and travelers. The outage began on Saturday afternoon and has left the corridor without rail service pending the completion of the repairs.
