Family honors fallen 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan, recalling his zeal for Middle East deployment
Tyler Feehan’s mother and fiancée paid tribute to the slain 1st Lt., highlighting his excitement for his Middle East mission and his burial in Georgia.
In an exclusive interview, Shari Feehan and Claire Fletcher remembered 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan as a brave young officer who was thrilled to deploy to the Middle East. He was killed on July 18 during an enemy attack at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan while assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command at Fort Bragg. The family emphasized his deep commitment to military service, noting his father’s 26-year Army career.
Tyler will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery next to his grandfather, a site his mother called peaceful. The Feehans traveled home on Air Force One and met President Donald Trump, who offered personal condolences. He is slated to receive the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge posthumously.
