Family Minister Stéphanie Rist unveils emergency early-childhood support plan

At the start of the early-childhood season, Family Minister Stéphanie Rist detailed an emergency initiative targeting France’s child-care sector. The programme will raise the single-service payment to crèches through the Caf and increase a territorial bonus for centres in the most fragile areas. Start-up and installation aid for child-care assistants will also be enhanced, and priority access to nursery places will be given to frontline professions such as nurses.

The plan addresses recent heat-wave challenges by committing to upgrade facilities before the next summer. Funding allocations will be reviewed by the Cnaf board in early October to allow implementation before year-end.
