Family of 59-year-old victim demands swift release of autopsy report
The widow of a 59-year-old man who died during Saturday's unrest in Paris is urging authorities to provide the autopsy findings without delay.
The family of a 59-year-old entertainment worker who died on Saturday amid clashes in Paris is pressing the prosecutor's office for the autopsy results as soon as they are available. Represented by Me Youri Krassoulia, the widow claims she has been left without clear updates on the circumstances of the death, which took place on rue du Château-d’Eau, an artery leading from Place de la République. The public prosecutor has launched an investigation to determine the cause of death, initially describing it as a probable malaise.
The body was moved to the medico-legal institute, and the Paris aide aux victimes association has been tasked with supporting the family. Authorities have also indicated that the investigation remains ongoing and are seeking any video evidence captured before or at the time of the incident. A separate inquiry concerns a second fatality, a 48-year-old man who died the following night in the Halles district under similar circumstances.
