Family pleads for help locating missing British tourist in Benidorm

Paul Cartwright, a 39-year-old entrepreneur from Greater Manchester who runs a scaffolding firm in Bolton, disappeared in Benidorm after not catching his Monday flight. Witnesses say he was last observed near Chaplin's Bar in the early hours of Sunday, wearing glasses, beige chino shorts, a white T-shirt and flip-flops, and he is noted for having half an ear missing. His wife, Sara Louise Cartwright, and his mother, Eileen Jones, have launched a public appeal, asking anyone who sees him to contact them.

Friends who were with him earlier said they left him near the bar and have since returned home, suggesting he could be roaming the old town or the resort strip. The family has reported the case to local police and the British Foreign Office, which is supporting the search. The incident follows a similar recent disappearance of another British visitor in southern Spain.
