Family-run Aromatic cosmetics firm enters administration, 11 jobs lost
Aromantic Limited, a Forres-based organic skincare maker, has been placed in administration, resulting in the redundancy of all 11 staff members.
Aromantic Limited, a family-owned organic cosmetics and skincare supplier based in Forres, entered administration on Wednesday, leaving 11 employees without jobs. The firm, founded in 1997 and reporting a turnover exceeding £1 million, served home crafters, salons and beauty therapists through its website and marketplaces like Amazon and Shopify. Administrators Christopher Horner and Kevin Pinkerton of Business Rescue Expert cited a post-pandemic sales decline, rising raw-material and shipping costs, and burdensome short-term loan repayments as drivers of insolvency.
Despite attempts over the summer to find a rescue solution or a sale as a going concern, no viable option emerged. The administrators have now arranged the sale of the company's inventory, websites and related assets to an unrelated party.
