After the match, clips emerged of a handful of Katowice supporters directing Nazi-style salutes toward the Israeli fans, prompting UEFA to announce a review of the behavior. Earlier footage also captured a Hapoel Tel Aviv fan imitating a sexual act and another grabbing his crotch while taunting the Polish crowd.
The Israeli club will face Italy's Atalanta on Aug. 20 in the next stage. The tournament, the third tier of European club football, offers its champion a place in the UEFA Europa League, with the current phase concluding on Aug. 27.
