Faridabad mother arrested after attacking 2-year-old with paper cutter
Police detained a Faridabad woman after her husband reported that she used a paper cutter on their two-year-old son, causing serious injuries.
On Aug 26, police responded to a domestic incident in Faridabad's Naveen Nagar police post area after Krishna Kumar filed a complaint. He alleged that his wife, Kamlesh, who stays home with the children, repeatedly assaulted them when angry. During a confrontation, she reportedly picked up a paper cutter and attacked their two-year-old son's neck, inflicting serious wounds and significant blood loss.
Emergency services transported the child to a civil hospital, where timely treatment prevented a fatal outcome. Investigators noted Kamlesh was under mental stress from childcare responsibilities. A case under Section 109 of the BNS, charging attempt to murder, was filed at Palla police station, and Kamlesh was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
