Fatal road crash and separate train collision claim two lives in Romania
A road accident on a forest route in Timiș county left one man dead and another injured, while a train strike in Prahova county killed a 73-year-old man.
Rescue teams from the Făget fire station arrived with a rescue vehicle at a forest road near Tomești in Timiș county after a collision left one male occupant with fatal injuries and the driver conscious and cooperative, later taken to Făget hospital. The county ambulance also attended the scene. In Prahova county, police from the Transport Police Service were called to the Brazi railway station area where a 73-year-old man was hit by a train traveling the Bucharest-North-Bacău route and suffered injuries incompatible with life. Authorities have opened investigations into the circumstances of both accidents.
