Fatal shooting behind counter at Brooklyn wings restaurant leaves one dead, another injured

Police responded to an assault in progress at the America’s Best Wings and Pizza on Rockaway Avenue in Brownsville just after midnight. Officers found a 44-year-old worker with a fatal head wound and a 39-year-old man shot in the right leg. Both victims were taken to hospitals, where the older man was pronounced dead and the younger remains in stable condition. The motive appears to be a robbery, though it is unclear if anything was taken. No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
