Father shoots his two sons in Los Angeles, survives and faces murder charges

Adolfo Gramajo allegedly shot his 4-year-old and 11-year-old sons in Koreatown before turning the gun on himself and surviving.

In a tragic incident in Koreatown, Adolfo Gramajo, 35, is accused of shooting his sons, Jimmy, 4, and Osmani, 11, in the head before injuring himself and remaining in hospital. The father had taken the children to a nearby McDonald’s as part of a custody arrangement, then allegedly carried out the murders. The boys’ aunt, Marilsa Bonilla, described the community’s support at the memorials and expressed hope that the tragedy would inspire greater parental love.

Gramajo’s past Facebook posts, including a 2018 message warning against judging him, have drawn attention to his disturbing online behavior. A GoFundMe campaign was started to help cover the family’s immediate expenses. Prosecutors have filed a special-circumstance multiple-murder charge against Gramajo.
