FBI arrests Indianapolis gang leader Gregory Henderson Jr. after three-day Ten Most Wanted listing

Gregory Henderson Jr., identified as the leader of a violent Indianapolis gang linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, was taken into custody by the FBI three days after being placed on the Ten Most Wanted Fugitive list. The 46-year-old had remained at large following a massive federal takedown in August 2023 that resulted in 18 arrests but left him uncaught. He is charged with conspiracies to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, to launder money and to run an animal-fighting enterprise.

The capture was credited to a joint effort by the FBI, the Department of Justice, the USDA Office of Inspector General and other partners, who seized 61 guns, multiple drugs, $98,000 in cash and 166 fighting dogs during the earlier raid. FBI Indianapolis Special Agent in Charge Tim O’Malley described Henderson’s criminal history as encompassing street violence, intimidation and weapons offenses. Director Kash Patel said the case reflects a broader increase in Ten Most Wanted arrests under President Trump’s administration. Details of the arrest location and method have not been released.
