FBI arrests podcaster Azariah Southworth in Los Angeles for threats against Donald Trump
FBI agents detained Los Angeles podcaster Azariah Southworth after he posted multiple threats to kill Donald Trump and stalked the president’s lawyer and family.
Federal agents surrounded the Westlake home of 40-year-old podcaster Azariah Southworth and took him into custody without incident. Prosecutors say Southworth repeatedly used Instagram, TikTok and YouTube to call for the assassination of Donald Trump, describing the government as “illegitimate” and urging “course correction.” He also posted the personal address of Trump’s private lawyer in Brentwood, Tennessee, and sent threatening texts and calls to the lawyer’s son, offering “no peace for traitors.”
Southworth’s website continues to sell “Kill Donald Trump” stickers, and he identifies himself as an “artivist.” He is charged with one count of threatening the president, one count of cyberstalking, and one count of harassing interstate communications, carrying a potential sentence of up to 12 years.
