Federal law-enforcement officers conducted coordinated raids on Tuesday at properties connected to a San Bernardino County supervisor, an Ontario city council member, a prominent attorney and a Chinese-American multimedia firm. The searches encompassed Supervisor Curtis Hagman’s Chino Hills home and district office, Councilmember Alan Wapner’s Ontario residence, and the residence and office of lawyer Frank Lizzaraga, who also serves as a University of La Verne trustee.
Agents also targeted the West Covina headquarters and a nearby house of EDI Media Inc., whose CEO James Su leads the largest Chinese-American media group in the United States. An additional warrant was served at Ontario International Airport, where Hagman and Wapner hold positions on the airport authority, with Wapner acting as its president. FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller confirmed the actions but offered no details, and no arrests were made. Representative Norma Torres expressed concern over the raids on elected officials, emphasizing a zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
