Around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 20, officers were dispatched to the ICE headquarters at 180 Ted Turner Drive in downtown Atlanta after a possible incendiary device was thrown. Responding units secured the area and later called in FBI and Homeland Security investigators, who gathered items such as a plastic lighter and a shopping bag with two bottles that appeared to contain lighter fluid. Although the materials suggested a fire-risk device, no blaze was observed.

Officials emphasized that there is no known danger to the public at this time. The investigation remains active, with evidence collection continuing. Atlanta police kept the street blocked until about 1:30 a.m. before reopening it.
