FC Barcelona denounces police handling of fan arrested before Elche match

The club offered support to the detained supporter and his relatives and emphasized that the Estelada is a legally recognized emblem whose display is a legitimate exercise of free speech.

Barcelona also noted that police have previously confiscated such flags and reiterated that the symbol does not constitute incitement to hatred or violence.
