Redseer Strategy Consultants reported that the first two days of India's festive e-commerce period generated gross merchandise value close to ₹24,200 crore, equivalent to over USD 2.5 billion, from an estimated 8-9 crore orders on major marketplaces including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and Ajio. Mobile phones led the category mix, representing about 38-40 % of total value, while consumer electronics and fashion each contributed roughly a quarter of sales.
