FieldAI secures $700 million funding, pushing valuation to $10 billion

Robotics startup FieldAI raised $700 million in a new financing round, lifting its valuation to $10 billion after a rapid increase from $2 billion a year earlier.

FieldAI, a robotics firm established in 2023, announced a $700 million financing round that values the company at $10 billion, a jump from its $2 billion valuation just over a year ago. Investors in the round include Jeff Bezos' family office, Laurene Powell Jobs' Emerson Collective and Khosla Ventures, though the lead venture capital firm was not identified. The company’s technology aims to provide a general-purpose AI brain that can be deployed across diverse robotic platforms, from humanoid machines and robot dogs to industrial rovers and aerial drones.

Revenue growth has accelerated, with at least $35 million added since June and total contracts now exceeding $135 million from more than 30 customers. FieldAI’s clientele spans construction, data-center management and defense sectors. The valuation places it near rivals Physical Intelligence and Skild AI, which are valued at roughly $11 billion and over $14 billion respectively. Headquarters are in Irvine, California, with additional offices in the Bay Area and staff drawn from Google DeepMind, Tesla, Nvidia and Boston Dynamics.

Why it matters

The funding underscores strong investor confidence in AI that can control physical robots across many industries.
