Final votes counted, new parliament members include eight personal-vote winners

The last precincts reported their results, confirming the final tally for the parliamentary election and revealing that over a third of the elected members are newcomers.

After the final precincts in Västra Götaland reported their numbers, the election authority announced that every voting district has been accounted for. A certification of the results is pending. The turnout rose slightly compared with the previous election.

Of the newly elected parliamentarians, roughly a third are newcomers. Eight individuals secured seats through personal votes, representing Centerpartiet, Vänsterpartiet, Moderaterna, Socialdemokraterna and Miljöpartiet across various counties. One of the Centerpartiet winners highlighted the importance of forest and property-rights issues and credited a mix of social-media presence and face-to-face campaigning for her success.
