Finance student found dead after brutal assault in Ahmedabad apartment complex
A 21-year-old finance student was discovered naked and severely injured in an Ahmedabad apartment complex and died despite emergency treatment.
Jigar Solanki, a 21-year-old finance student at Silver Oak University, was staying with his maternal uncle in Isanpur after moving from a paying-guest accommodation. After dinner at his uncle's house at about 9:30 pm on Friday, he told his uncle he was heading to meet a friend at Jawahar Chowk on his motorcycle. Around 11:30 pm, his family was alerted that he had been found naked and severely injured in the compound of Tirth Bhoomi Apartment, with his bike locked and the key still with him.
Neighbours covered his body with clothing and called a 108 ambulance, taking him to LG Hospital, where he died at approximately 2:30 am on Saturday. Police have registered a murder case against unknown persons, noting injuries consistent with a heavy object such as a stick, but have not yet determined the weapon or motive. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and his phone records while a dog squad and crime-branch team assist the probe.
