Finland to see slightly warmer than average temperatures and reduced rain this week
A new monthly forecast shows most of Finland will be a bit warmer than usual with less rain early in the week, according to meteorologist Joonas Koskela.
Foreca reported that the ECMWF's latest monthly outlook predicts a modestly warmer spell across most of Finland, with daytime highs exceeding the usual September averages. A high-pressure system is expected to settle over the country at the start of the week, curbing rainfall compared with typical conditions. Meteorologist Joonas Koskela explained that a low-pressure area in Eastern Europe could intensify winds and deliver some rain to the southern part of Finland later in the week.
The outlook also suggests that Finland may sit near the edge of a high-pressure zone during the month, bringing breezy weather and occasional warm air from the south-southwest. Forecast reliability is expected to decline in the following weeks, and daily weather may still vary considerably despite the overall trend.
