The Finnish Aviation Academy disclosed that it is suspending the admission pipeline for those who succeeded in the written entrance exam after uncovering possible cheating. Rector Ari Tolonen explained that the evidence now exceeds the “reason to suspect” threshold, but he refrained from revealing the exact number of individuals under suspicion, noting that the issue likely involves more than a single case. The suspension affects 124 applicants who were slated to move on to psychological assessments and interviews.

The written exam, conducted remotely, was monitored using an AI-driven analysis tool and live camera feeds to detect irregular answer patterns. The academy plans to complete its investigation and decide on the next steps within the week. The broader selection process remains on hold until the findings are finalized.
