Fire alarm forces evacuation of EasyJet flight at Milan Malpensa airport
A fire alarm on an EasyJet plane bound for Prague triggered an evacuation of 146 passengers at Malpensa, with two minor injuries reported.
While taxiing on a runway connector at Milan's Malpensa Airport, an EasyJet aircraft heading to Prague activated a fire alarm at about 17:31. Emergency procedures were immediately implemented, and passengers were slid down evacuation chutes. Of the 146 on board, 144 escaped unharmed and two sustained slight bruises. Airport operations were temporarily halted while rescue teams responded and safety inspections were carried out.
