First Artists Management Rebrands as FAM Agency and Adds Veteran Agent Dan North
Los Angeles-based First Artists Management has changed its name to FAM agency and hired former Kraft-Engel Management agent Dan North.
First Artists Management, a Los Angeles talent agency focused on film and TV music professionals, has rebranded itself as FAM agency. The company welcomed Dan North, previously with Kraft-Engel Management, and several of his represented composers and supervisors—Gabriel Mann, Marcus Norris, Tim Williams, Jonathan Sanford, Andrew Kotatko and Daniel Rossen—joined the new firm. In parallel, FAM broadened its global roster, signing notable artists like Scottish post-rock group Mogwai, singer-songwriter Andrew Bird, and BAFTA-nominated composer Matthew Herbert, among others.
The agency also strengthened its business operations by appointing Alexander Beltran from Warner Bros. as Head of Business Affairs in Los Angeles and Julie Blake from Erased Tapes as Business Affairs Manager in London. Founded in 2003, the rebrand follows a period of heightened activity for its clients across major screen projects. The moves aim to enhance FAM’s presence in key international markets.
Why it matters
The rebrand and hires signal a strategic push to grow a niche music-focused talent agency in the competitive entertainment market.
